When transitioning your pet to a new food, we recommend a gradual introduction of the new formula over a 7 day period. For pets with sensitivities, extend the transition period to 10 to 14 days. Start by adding a small amount of your pet’s new food to his or her current food. Gradually, increase the new food amount and decrease the current food amount at each feeding until you are feeding only the new food.
Free standard shipping is provided on all food orders and should arrive within 2-7 business days after processing. We also offer expedited shipping options for an additional fee. Shipments are fulfilled Monday - Friday and we strive to ship orders no later than the following business day. When transitioning to a new dog food, you want to do it slowly — over the period of 7-10 days to give your dog’s gut time to adjust, as it is common for them to experience some digestive discomfort during that period as they adjust to the new food. Every batch of our dog food is made on our own equipment in Illinois and tested prior to shipping to ensure it is free of harmful bacteria, so you don’t need to worry about feeding it to your dog.
Nextrition comes in a resealable bag placed within its own box. We recommend keeping the food stored in its original bag in a cool, dry and dark place and away from heat and direct sunlight.
